A Washington Non-Profit Corporation

South Sound Recovery Services provides recovery services for those who struggle with alcohol or other chemical dependency. These services include but are not limited to intervention, assessment, counseling, life skills training, transitional housing and referral.

Services are currently provided by volunteer counselors and drug addiction specialists. Volunteers also provide training and mentoring to clients. Again this year, transitional housing was provided to clients through the generous efforts of volunteers who took clients into their own homes. Some of our transitional housing clients have recently been released from incarceration for non-violent offences and are screened to assess individual potential to benefit from a program such as ours. Our clients for these services are often financially disadvantaged and not eligible for assistance from other organizations. We continue to search out opportunities for our own transitional housing facility.

We also partner with county and state organizations to foster abstinence from abuse of alcohol or other mind-altering chemicals. Our clients are referred by other clients, the Department of Corrections, various self-help groups and local mental health counseling services.

Please contact Robin Goodwin, Executive Director, at 360 432-9714 or
robin@southsoundrecovery.org for more information or to schedule an appointment for further discussion.
